When we receive an animal, we give it immediate medical attention and put them into quarantine. All of our available animals have been treated for worms, ear mites, and fleas, heartworm tested and treated if necessary, all others are put on heartworm prevention. They have been given their initial Duramune vaccination and received their booster also. They all have had their rabies vaccination and are microchipped. All of our animals are spayed and or neutered, unless they are too young to do, in which case you will need to sign a contract agreeing to have them spayed/neutered and furnish proof of such back to us, as a condition of your adoption.
We have many breeds of dogs and mixed breeds available, and always have lots of very nice cats also. We do require you to fill out an Adoption application in it's entirety and ask for vet and personal references.
Our Dog adoption price is $140.
Our Puppy adoption price is $155 with a $15 refund when you return proof of spay/neuter back to us.
Our Cat adoption price is $140.00
Our Kitten adoption price is $155.00 with a $15 refund when you return proof of spay/neuter back to us.
The mission of Alchemy Acres Animal Sanctuary, Inc. is as follows:
To relieve the suffering that far too many animals are forced to endure, our mission is to provide a no-kill sanctuary for abandoned and abused domestic animals where love for the soul and medical care for the body will be provided to all who enter our grounds. Animals in need of additional physical and psychological care will receive the proper support that they deserve.
Loving, safe homes will be sought out for our residents and any animal that is deemed unadoptable, for whatever reason, will be allowed to live out its natural life surrounded by love here at the Sanctuary.
To relieve overpopulation, we will provide education about and funds for spay and neuter programs. We will also attempt to raise awareness about the importance of general pet care, including but not limited to, vaccinations and nutrition.
Last, but certainly not least in importance, we will provide education to those we interact with in an attempt to prevent animal cruelty and to aide in creating a more compassionate society. We make every attempt to qualify prospective homes with a matching animal. We want all of our adopting families to be happy and we have a unique return policy for ALL of our animals.
We have rescued and found forever homes for approx. 1600 animals so far. BUT WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF ROOM AND PENS. NO ROOM MEANS WE CAN'T SAVE ANYMORE LIVES!
There is such a need in this community for a No Kill Shelter that we have had to start a waiting list and people are so happy to at least be on our List to bring their animals to a Safe Place!

9:00 am - 5:00 pm Tuesday - Friday
9:00 am - 2:00 pm on Saturday
CLOSED ON SUNDAY & MONDAY
WE DO NOT SHIP OUR ANIMALS OUT OF STATE FOR ANY REASON. YOU MUST COME TO THE SANCTUARY TO PICK UP YOUR ANIMAL. WE DO NOT OFFER ASSISTANCE WITH TRANSPORT.
DUE TO VET WORK SCHEDULING AND CLEANING, IT IS NECESSARY FOR YOU TO CALL FOR AN APPOINTMENT TO SEE THE PET OF YOUR CHOICE
Please bring a collar and a leash with you when you come to pick up your new pet.

Not able to adopt a pet, you can still help out our animals by sponsoring your pick!! We are now offering sponsorships for our dogs and cats. If you would like to sponsor one of our animals, we will put your name on that animals listing as being sponsored by you. You can sponsor your favorite animal for $5.00 per week for as long as you would like. You can sponsor in your name or in memory or in honor of a loved one. Send us an email and we'll get you all the details.
